NOCTURNE is more than just a name for the third generation of the CZ P-09 series. It serves to describe operation that is so natural, comfortable and intuitive that the presence of light is no longer a necessity.

The new, ergonomic positioning and shape of its controls, luminescent or tritium sights on selected models, and direct mounting of red dot sights all contribute to an instinctive fit that conquers the dark.

Hammer-Fired Operation

The pull back and release of a hammer is unmistakable, and for some, crucial in making a strong connection with their firearm. The hammer-fired operation of the CZ P-09 NOCTURNE provides the feel you expect and offers second strike capability, allowing the pistol to continue to function even when faced with a faulty primer.

Standing on the shoulders of giants… with simplicity

Based on the time-proven trigger mechanism in the legendary CZ 75 pistol, the OMEGA system allows users to swap the manual safety with the decocker and firing pin block, or vice versa. It retains the same smooth, trouble-free operation as the CZ 75, but with a design that features less components. High reliability doesn’t need to be complicated.

Built on a solid foundation

The frame is made from fiberglass-reinforced polymer, which is not only extremely light and strong, but also mechanically and thermally stable. Serving as the backbone of the CZ P-09 NOCTURNE, it is equipped with a MIL-STD-1913 rail.

Mounting Optics

With a slide that features drilled and tapped holes for direct, low profile mounting of red dot sights with Shield RMS and Holosun footprints, mounting plates are no longer necessary. In the event of optics failure, the co-witness is immediately available. The connection between your gun and its optics has never been stronger or more versatile.

Both the front and rear sights feature luminescent dots that allow for convenient, high visibility when indoor or outdoor light is scarce. Nocturnal operation is second nature to the CZ P-09 NOCTURNE.

Next Level Comfort and Control

A new shape and profile of the slide catch/release lever, manual safety, and decocker allow for a more intuitive and confident shooting experience, while providing an even higher level of comfort.

High Traction Where It Is Needed

Texturing on the grip has been refined for increased traction. The texturing has also been extended to include the area between the trigger guard and beaver tail, in front of the bolt catch/release lever and on the magazine base. Complete control is always where it belongs, in your hands.

Enhanced front and rear slide serrations ensure a firm grip each time you rack the pistol.

Chamber Status at a Glance

A loaded chamber indicator in the extractor shows if there’s a round in place, helping to confirm shooting readiness and increasing your safety.

Safety for all Shooters

The ambidextrous manual safety can be swapped with the decocker, or vice versa, ensuring both left- and right-handed shooters feel equally at home with the CZ P-07 NOCTURNE. Safety should not show preferential treatment.

The Suppressor-Ready version of the CZ P-09 NOCTURNE features an extended barrel with 1/2” × 28 UNEF – 3A threads for quick and easy mounting of a wide range of suppressors. Reducing sound levels when necessary is just a few twists away.
